Stephen M. Lichter, P.E.

Mr. Lichter was appointed to the Power Review Board on December 29, 2008, and confirmed by the Legislature on February 25, 2009.  His current term of office will expire on January 1, 2013.  He one of the two designated lay members.  Mr. Lichter lives in Waterloo, Nebraska with his wife and son.

Mr. Lichter is an owner and principal of EAD, Inc.  He and his partner have created four subsidiaries under the EAD umbrella including EAD Engineering LLC, EAD Constructors Inc., EAD Control Systems LLC and EAD Management Services Inc.   Each company specializes in renewable energy, food and pet food processing, chemical processing and commercial industries.  Mr. Lichter was recognized in 2006 for one of Omaha’s top 40 under 40 awards.

Mr. Lichter is a graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  He has over twenty years of progressive experience in heavy industrial process and mechanical engineering.  Mr. Lichter has worked both in consulting and plant operations in varying capacities from Design Engineer to Project Manager to Director of Operations.

Mr. Lichter’s civic activities have included leadership roles in the Nebraska Judicial Branch – Fourth District Court as a Judicial Nominating Committee lay member from 2005-2007, and is currently serving another term from 2009-2011.  He also served as Chairman of the Douglas County Republican party, and was a board member with the Entrepreneur’s Organization of Nebraska.  He is heavily involved with youth sports as a coach for KWAA football, Frozen Ropes Tigers Select Baseball, Youth basketball, and with the National Football League’s Junior Player Development clinics.
