Frank J. Reida

Mr. Reida was originally appointed to the Board on April 26, 2012. He was appointed to a second term and was confirmed by the Legislature on May 28, 2015. His term of office will end January 1, 2019. He is the Board’s designated attorney member. Mr. Reida lives in Omaha, Nebraska.
Mr. Reida received his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1976. He received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1981, and his Juris Doctor degree, Summa Cum Laude, also from Creighton University in 1990.
Mr. Reida was Vice President for Customer Service and Chief Legal Officer for Energy Systems Company in Omaha, Nebraska, from 2005 through 2013. From 1977 to 1987 he worked for the Nebraska Public Power District, where his duties included engineering, management, and supervision of power plant facilities. Following law school, he was an attorney with the Baird Holm law firm from 1990 to 2005, practicing in the business, tax and regulatory areas of law. Since 2013, Mr. Reida has been engaged in the commissioning of critical-infrastructure mechanical systems used in large-scale data processing facilities.
Mr. Reida’s civic involvement includes three-term membership on the Board of Engineers (Stationary Engineers) for the City of Omaha, former member of the Foundation Board for the Omaha Community Playhouse and the Board for the Joslyn Castle Trust, past Board member and President of Landmarks, Inc. (educates the public on the value of preserving architecturally significant structures), and past Director, Vice-President and pro bono Legal Counsel for the Nebraska Chorale Arts Society.
